HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
 
It is the policy of Euroside Construction Group to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees working for the company and other persons who may be affected by our undertakings.

Euroside Construction Group acknowledges that the key to successful health and safety management requires an effective policy, organisation and arrangements, which reflect the commitment of senior management. To maintain that commitment, we will continually measure, monitor, follow guidelines and procedures to ensure that statutory duties are met at all times and facilitate continual improvement in terms of occupational safety and health.

The senior management Team will implement the Business ‘s Health & Safety policy and recommend any changes to meet new circumstances. Euroside Construction Group recognises that successful Health and Safety management contributes to successful business performance and will allocate finances and resources to meet these needs.

The management of Euroside Construction Group looks upon the promotion of Health and Safety measures as a mutual objective for themselves and employees. It is therefore, the policy of the management to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent personal injury and damage to property. Also, the organisation aims to protect everyone, including visitors and members of the public, in so far as they come into contact with our activities, from any foreseeable hazard or danger.

Our management is committed to:

  • Providing a work environment that is safe.

  • Performance to prevent injury and ill-health and the continual improvement in Occupational Health and Safety management.

 

Throughout all levels of the company we encourage and vigorously promote a fully mandated pro-active Health and Safety culture and regularly execute Health and Safety performance reviews and audits to ensure that the best Health and Safety practice is adhered to at all management and site levels. With regular site visits by our senior site management team, we record and document ‘On Site’ toolbox talks to ensure that:

  • Good Health and Safety theory is converted into best Health and Safety practice at workplace levels.

  • All relevant Health and Safety information is effectively disseminated at workplace levels

  • The company promotes a ‘can do and can do safely’ attitude throughout all levels of company management and workplace operations.

All employees have duties under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and are informed of their personal responsibilities to take due care of the health and safety of themselves and to ensure that they do not endanger other persons by their acts or omissions. Information, instruction, training and supervision is provided for all employees so as to ensure that all tasks are undertaken in a safe manner.

Health and safety standards and the operation of safe systems of work are regularly audited to ensure that standards are being achieved, maintained and are relevant and appropriate to the company.

Non-conformities are investigated and positive remedial action implemented. All incidents occurring at work are investigated, recorded and all reasonable action taken to prevent its recurrence and a suitable and safe place of work and welfare facilities are provided and maintained to a reasonable standard.

The Directors and Managers give their full support to this policy in ensuring that Environmental, Safety and Health is an integral part of its operational and management functions.

Our Health and Safety policy will be regularly updated to take account of legal and best practice amendments.

HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING

Any required trade training needs are identified within our workforce and are duly addressed in-house with all trade training conforming to recognised NVQ L2 Standards as set by the C.I.T.B. Euroside operatives also receive specialist training from other C.I.T.B. recognised training providers in the following courses:

  • Confined space working

  • PASMA training

  • Asbestos awareness

  • Remote demolition robot

  • Manual handling

  • Dynamic risk training

  • Hydrajaws portable pull testing
